Associate Professor

Konstantinos Chorianopoulos is a faculty member at the Department of Informatics of the Ionian University. He holds a Diploma in Electronic and Computer Engineering from the Technical University of Crete, an MSc in Marketing and Communication with New Technologies, and a Ph.D. in Human-Computer Interaction Design from the Athens University of Economics and Business.

His research interests focus on Human-Computer Interaction, Software Technology for Interactive Systems, Multimedia with emphasis on Digital Television, Ubiquitous Computing with user-centered input devices, and Social and Collaborative Communication and Learning Systems.

He has conducted postdoctoral research at Imperial College London and Bauhaus-University Weimar as a Marie Curie Fellow and has taught at the University of the Aegean, the University of the Arts Berlin, and the Hellenic Open University. He has authored numerous scientific papers in the fields of interactive systems, media computing, and user experience.
