Our student Kallirroi Zarkadoula presented the paper “Evaluating Usability and Educational Effectiveness of a Serious Game for Programmers Using Alternative Interfaces and Types of Activities” at the 2022 IEEE Global Engineering Education Conference (EDUCON), held on 28–31 March 2022 (DOI: 10.1109/EDUCON52537.2022).
The paper introduces a serious game for programmers and compares two interfaces — drag-and-drop and typing — across both coding and debugging activities, concluding that the typing interface is more efficient while both remain highly usable.
